I finally retired, so I just had to begin painting. Pastels quickly became my favorite medium. It has been loads of fun. Drop by to see what I am working on.

Desert Morning
There is something magical about the morning light in the desert.
And, there is something magical about your pastels! Wonderful excitement in them. So glad Susan put your link on her blog. It is a true treasure to wander thru your pieces. I love this one especially. Colors are mesmerizing. I also love the one of the slider. You can see his excitement on this his first try. Actually, all you have on here are super. Wonderful, I'll be back to see more. I joined as a follower so that I can keep track of your striking work.
I am a native of Iowa City, IA and a long term resident of the Midwest, who now happily splits her time between Illinois and Arizona. I recently renewed my love of art after retiring as a life-long educator: a career that spanned every level from Kindergarten through University and Teacher to Superintendent of Schools. Since retiring in 2000, I have traveled extensively with my husband enjoying visits to the work of Masters wherever I have traveled throughout the world.
